Leading housing experts to speak at major Social Housing Conference in Liverpool

North West businesses will once again have the opportunity to hear the expert views of some of the leading figures from the housing sector on the wide-ranging changes being faced by social housing providers when the annual Social Housing Conference returns to Liverpool this month.

Brabners Chaffe Street and Mitchell Charlesworth (both leading advisors to the social housing sector), together with Your Housing Group are once again presenting the Social Housing Conference, which takes place on Friday 16 November 2012 at Liverpool's BT Convention Centre.

At this year's conference, titled 'Who Dares Wins', the keynote speakers have been confirmed as Steve Rotherham MP for Liverpool Walton, Julian Ashby, Chair of the Regulation Committee and board member at the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA), and Derek Long, Head of North, National Housing Federation (NHF).

A range of experts will explore the Localism Act, welfare reform, the direction of social housing regulation and how social housing providers can adapt in these times of great social and economic turmoil. Social housing specialists will also present a series of workshops, offering practical advice on a range of topics specific to the sector including housing management, finance, employment and renewable energy. The conference and accompanying workshops will demonstrate why only those organisations which are brave enough to take on these challenges will thrive.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to put questions to a panel made up of Chief Executives and senior representatives from North West registered providers including Brian Cronin, Chief Executive of Your Housing Group, Carol Matthews, Chief Executive of The Riverside Group, Tony Dunne, Group Director of Corporate Planning and Change at Symphony Housing Group, Maggi Howard, Director of Assets and Enterprise at Liverpool Mutual Homes and Claire Griffiths, Managing Director of Regeneration and Commercial Development at Plus Dane Group.
