Champions Again! MC Retain Warrington Charity Football Crown

Mitchell Charlesworth were once again victorious in the annual Warrington Professionals Charity Football Tournament organised by RBS, having also won the tournament in 2012 and 2013. Once more proving that we are much more than 'just' accountants.

The team from Mitchell Charlesworth have been compared to the victorious Spanish World Cup winning side of 2010, not just because of the glamourous brand of football they choose to play, but because they too lost their opening group game fixture before remaining undefeated for the rest of the tournament, eventually beating RBS in the final.

Winning captain 'Paulinho' (Warrrington-based Manager, Paul Richards, pictured) said: "We are delighted to support this charity tournament which raises money for an excellent cause and is always played in great spirits. Thanks once again to RBS for organising a fantastic event.

"I am thrilled to lift the trophy for a third year in a row and I think that we can now rightly call ourselves the 'powerhouse' of the Warrington professionals football circuit.

"RBS ran us close in the final and perhaps, with a better goalkeeper, they may even have won it. I am sure they and the other teams will come back even stronger next year.

"Above all, I hope that we have once again proved that we are much more than 'just' accountants."

Widnes-based Mike 'better than Carragher' Faragher was once again the tournament's top scorer having also achieved this honour in 2012 and 2013.

Other members of the team included Widnes-based Manager, Alan 'Hansen' Howard and Marketing Manager, Jon Obi Mi-Cannock.
