Mitchell Charlesworth sponsors the 2014 Social Enterprise Network Awards

On 3 October, Social Enterprise Network is running their third annual Awards ceremony at the iconic Liverpool Town Hall. The awards recognise the vital work that social enterprises do each year across Merseyside, using the profit from their goods and services to tackle deeply entrenched social and environmental problems.

Social Enterprise Network operates to support the development and growth of social entrepreneurship across the Liverpool City Region and beyond, raising both the levels of engagement and trading ability of social enterprise businesses to enhance their economic viability, sustainability, social and environmental impact and contribution to the local economy.

Mitchell Charlesworth has chosen to sponsor the Arts and Culture Champion award from the sixteen categories available. The award will be presented by Philip Griffiths, a partner for the firm.

Commenting on the awards, Philip said ‘Mitchell Charlesworth is pleased to once again support the awards and search for the most innovative and social value driven social enterprises in the Liverpool City Region. It is great to celebrate with social enterprises that are making a real difference in society’.

To find out more, please visit www.sentogether.net/awards for the nomination form and a description of each Award Category. Any social enterprise that wishes to participate can nominate their own and/or another organisation.

The awards also has two categories for all sectors not just social enterprises. Pay it Forward Award, sponsored by Knowsley CVSkcvs2 seeks to recognise those organisations or individuals who go above and beyond, who ‘pay it forward’ and create a ripple effect of good deeds which make a real difference to communities. The second is the Mentoring Champion of the Year award, sponsored by RBS Group Micro Finance. This award recognises the champions who have played a key role in delivering or ensuring mentoring is accessible to those who need it in order to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sector.

The deadline for all nominations is Monday 18th August 2014 at 10am.
