Mitchell Charlesworth is a leading North West based firm of
chartered accountants and business advisors with a distinguished
record of helping our clients to prosper that goes back 125
years.
With offices in Chester, Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington and
Widnes, we are now one of the largest regionally based practices in
the North West, with 16 partners and more than 150 staff.
Background
Despite the firm's considerable growth over the years, we
are fiercely protective of our tradition of building long term
relationships with clients and taking a genuine interest in their
affairs.
We were founded in 1885 by Charles
Hackett Mitchell in Liverpool. He was joined in 1910 by Bernard
Orton Bunting and the firm continued as Mitchell & Bunting.
During the following years there have been many mergers with other
local practices which resulted in the firm changing its name to
Mitchell Charlesworth in 1976.
Experience
As we are based in the North West of England, most our
clients are also located in the region. However, we do act for
clients in many other parts of the country, as well as for a number
of individuals who reside outside the UK.
We have a depth of experience
advising clients in numerous business activities, including: sugar,
tanning, chemicals, shipping and forwarding, oil distribution,
hotels, retail, motor dealers, tyres and parts merchants, farming
and farm suppliers, engineering, manufacturing and service
industries, housing associations and professional firms including
architects, chartered surveyors, solicitors, doctors, estate
agents, insurance brokers and chemists.
The firm provides financial,
taxation and business advice to both individuals and companies.
