Mitchell Charlesworth together with Brabners LLP are hosting a Charity Law & Accountancy Update seminar on Wednesday 14 June in Manchester. This seminar will provide charity trustees and senior managers with an update on accounting and legal developments affecting charities that have taken place over the previous year.

Mitchell Charlesworth's Director of VAT, Alison Birch, and Charity Partner Paul Booth, will provide an update on VAT issues affecting charities and charity trading. 

Graeme Hughes, Associate in charity law team at Brabners LLP will provide an informative round up of legal developments in the voluntary sector, including:

  • The Charities (Protection and Social Investment) Act 2016 and the new regulatory powers granted to the Charity Commission; and
  • The new regulatory landscape for charity fundraising, including an update on the establishment of the new Fundraising Regulator.

The seminar will conclude with an opportunity for attendees to ask any questions they might have for our speakers.
