These are just a few examples of our real life success stories.

1. A manufacturer who wanted to up-skill its workforce wanted to invest in training for its staff. A significant program was planned and this was supported with a £20,000 grant from a local grant body.

2. A new start up manufacturer with a multimillion pound capital investment program secured a £790,000 grant as part of its funding package to make the project happen.

3. A HR intelligence service provider was experiencing rapid growth and received a grant to assist in the relocation to larger premises and the investment in new technology.

4. A food manufacturer with pressure from its customers to expand production capacity invested in a multimillion pound new plant and received grant support of £200,000 towards new equipment and job creation.

7. A subsidiary of a major UK plc received a grant when the local site was threatened with closure when faced with cheaper imports. With the grant the company re-invented itself by improving quality and productivity through a series of investments that safeguarded over 100 jobs.

8. A grant was secured for a company who had developed a new material recovery technology and had proven its feasibility with a trial plant. The grant enabled the company to commission a full scale plant and create new jobs.

9. A company operating in the biomedical sector received significant R & D grant to develop and commercialise a new product to add to its existing range. The company then got a second grant under a different scheme to help invest in facilities and production capabilities.

10. A company was awarded a grant to help it upgrade its facilities to be ‘environmentally sustainable’and this therefore changed the emphasis of the business entirely. The change was received so well by its existing customers the change lead to new business opportunities.

11. A new specialist restaurant was set-up with the support of a main high street bank under a supported government scheme. The restaurant was so successful further sites were opened.

12. A management buyout of a company was supported and finalised via the utilisation of grants towards the costs of appropriate qualified business consultants, this lead to the continuation of the company and the job safeguarding of its entire workforce.

13. A large steel engineer wanted to invest in unique, new state of the art equipment, which enabled production of products not available in the UK previously. The investment went ahead due to the support of grant towards the project.

14. A small plastic product manufacturer received grant funding towards a unique flexible manufacturing machine that raised quality and lead to rapid sales growth in the business.

15. A steel fabricator that manufactures and assembles high end technology stainless steel water purifying systems received a grant to relocate to larger premises and invent a new state of the art equipment.

16. A manufacturer of products to the construction industry received a grant towards new equipment and tooling so that a higher quality of production with improved specifications could be made to service new markets overseas.
