Mitchell Charlesworth strengthens corporate finance service

MITCHELL Charlesworth has unveiled a new look corporate finance team following a restructure to strengthen its services to companies across the North West.

The firm has brought together a team of internal specialists in lead advisory, due diligence, grant funding, tax and wealth management, to support the growing number of commercial transactions.

Corporate finance partner Bob Gore, will head the reorganised team along with Mitchell Charlesworth chairman, Clive Plummer.

They will be joined by Paul McGerty, Greg Harris and Richard Johnson, and also Paul Booth, and Tim Adcock, to bring more diverse experience and expertise to the team.

Greg specialises in project and grant finance, while Paul and Richard act for companies and businesses of all shapes and sizes, from small turnover operations to groups with turnover exceeding £100 million. Partner Paul Booth, is a specialist provider of due diligence services, while tax partner Tim, specialises in tax planning strategies for businesses and high net worth individuals.

Bob said: “We are being asked by an increasing number of business owners to help them look at the strategic direction of their business, some are restructuring for positive reasons, whilst others are looking to achieve profitable growth by acquisition. Planning for succession has also become a key issue, whilst some are seeking to divest of their business in the short-term but which is not being entirely driven by changes to Capital Gains Tax.

“We have always had stand alone services such as grant funding, taxation and financial services but we needed to bring experts from these teams into one dedicated department to maintain our focussed attention to client needs.”
