C4 Industries deal

Mitchell Charlesworth’s corporate finance team has acted for three businessmen who sold their specialist manufacturing business in a multi-million pound deal.

C4 Industries, which is based at Knowsley Industrial Park, has been bought by Northern Ireland firm Northstone, part of the Irish international construction giant CRH Plc.

Graeme Pringle and his fellow directors David Laidlaw and Andrew Wright have built up C4 Industries during the past eight years.

The company is best known for the STAKKAbox, pre-formed underground access chambers, vaults and manholes. C4’s customers include the Highways Agency, France Telecom, Network Rail and SNCF, Europe’s premier rail network operator.

Bob Gore, corporate finance partner at Mitchell Charlesworth, provided lead advisory services to the vendors.

He said: “C4 Industries is a genuine Merseyside success story which owes a great deal to the determination and hard work of Graeme and his fellow directors.”

Liverpool law firm, Brabners Chaffe Street, also advised C4’s directors on the deal.
