Accountants appoint Palmer

NORTH West Chartered Accountants Mitchell Charlesworth has boosted its corporate recovery team with a new senior appointment.
Paul Palmer, 34, from Stalybridge, joins as a manager from the Manchester office of RSM Robson Rhodes, where he spent five years as a corporate recovery manager.
Salford-born Paul started his career as an insolvency assistant at Cork Gully (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1988 and continued to specialise in insolvency work with Deloitte and Baker Tilly .
Over the years Paul has worked on several high profile insolvencies, including most recently, Bury Football Club and the Arrows Grand Prix Formula 1 racing team.
He said: “Mitchell Charlesworth is an ambitious firm with a respected corporate recovery team and the opportunity to progress my career at the firm was too good to miss. I am really looking forward to the challenge and responsibilities my new role will bring.”
The father-of-four qualified as an accountant (ACCA) in 2004 and he specialises in corporate insolvency and business turnaround.
Paul is a fellow member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He is currently working towards the Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) qualification.
