Julie passes prestigious industry exam

Date: October 16 2007

AN accountant at North West firm Mitchell Charlesworth has passed one of the insolvency profession’s most prestigious qualifications.

Julie Beavis, who joined Mitchell Charlesworth’s Corporate Recovery & Insolvency team more than six years ago and is based at the firm’s Brazennose Street offices in Manchester, has passed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) exam.

Julie, from St Helens, had to complete nine months of study and pass three tough JIEB exams to receive her Insolvency Licence. As a pass student Julie also receives automatic membership of INSOL International (International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Professionals).

Jeremy Oddie, Mitchell Charlesworth’s Corporate Recovery & Insolvency partner and head of department, said: “Julie has displayed an enormous amount of determination and commitment to pass the Joint Insolvency Examination, which has always been a severe test of candidates’ knowledge of insolvency law and practice.

“By passing the JIEB examinations Julie has become a fully-fledged member of the profession. Everyone at Mitchell Charlesworth is extremely proud of Julie and would like to congratulate her on her achievement.”

Julie received her certificate at a presentation ceremony staged at The Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn in London.
