It’s 20 years and counting for Stephen

AN accounts and audit senior at Mitchell Charlesworth Chartered Accountants is celebrating in style after marking 20 years service with the North West firm.

Stephen Wearden, from Penketh, Warrington, joined Mitchell Charlesworth Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors in 1987, where he specialises in accounts and audit work.

After graduating from Manchester University with a BSc in Physics, Stephen started his accountancy career at Wilson Henry & Co, where he spent five years prior to joining Mitchell Charlesworth.

The 46-year-old was presented with gift vouchers to mark his 20 th anniversary during a party staged at the firm’s Albert Road office in Widnes.

He said: “I really enjoy the job and working for Mitchell Charlesworth because it has a close team of friendly staff – I couldn’t think of a better place to work.”

Keen sportsman Stephen recently retired from playing cricket in the local leagues but still plays inter-league table tennis for Warrington Veterans and in the Warrington & Halton local league. The St Helens RLFC fan is also honorary treasurer of St Helens Junior Table Tennis Club.
