Paul Booth receives royal appointment
Date: 20 September 2006
MANCHESTER Chartered Accountant, Paul Booth, has received a prestigious invite to a Royal garden party as a reward for his services to budding business people.
Paul, a partner at Mitchell Charlesworth Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors Brazennose Street offices, has received the regal invitation to Buckingham Palace as part of the Prince’s Trust 30th anniversary celebrations.
Over the last 15 years Paul has mentored around 20 young people starting up their own businesses in the Manchester area. He has also provided accounting advice, business support, general guidance and encouragement as part of the volunteer scheme.
Paul and his wife Heidi will join around 1,500 other guests who will attend the Royal function, which will be hosted by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, Charles and Camilla, on Friday, July 14.
He said: “It is unbelievable but very exciting. I never thought I would ever get the chance to go to a Royal garden party at Buckingham Palace. I couldn’t believe it when I opened the envelope and there was the invite and two tickets.
“Through my mentoring work with the Prince’s Trust, I have helped many young entrepreneurs take their first steps towards setting up a successful business. It is a fantastic charity that makes a massive difference to thousands of young people’s lives every year – and it’s been a privilege to play a part in the scheme.”
