Date: 20 September 2007
A SENIOR accountant at Mitchell Charlesworth is celebrating in style after marking 20 years service with the North West firm.
Amanda Turpin, from Widnes, joined the firm of chartered accountants and business advisors in 1987 after graduating with a degree in accounting and finance from Liverpool John Moores University.
She started her training at the firm’s Albert Road offices in Widnes, where she spent six years, before moving to the Warrington branch in 1993.
The 41-year-old specialises in advising small owner-managed businesses and new start-ups in the Warrington area and across the region. She also assists Warrington Business Venture where she acts as an advisor and mentor for new start-up businesses.
Amanda, who is also a treasurer for St Paul’s Church in Widnes, said: “Mitchell Charlesworth is a great firm to work for and all the staff are really friendly. I have also built a great relationship with my clients over the years so I couldn’t think of a better place to work.”
Staff from Mitchell Charlesworth’s Warrington and Widnes offices attended a party where Amanda was presented with gift vouchers to mark her 20 years long service.
David Darlington, Mitchell Charlesworth’s managing partner, added: “Mitchell Charlesworth prides itself on its long-term relationships with both clients and staff.
“During her time with the firm Amanda has played an important part in its growth and has been a great ambassador for the business. I’m sure everyone at Mitchell Charlesworth would like to congratulate Amanda on her 20 years service and wish her all the best for the next 20!”
