Date: 26 March 2007
ONE of the fastest growing professional advisory services businesses in the North West is set to boost the local job market.
Wirral-based AdviserPlus expects to double its workforce following its move to new offices, assisted by £200,000 grant funding.
AdviserPlus Business Solutions has relocated to Woodcourt, Riverside Park, Bromborough, and is on target to recruit an extra 60 employees over the next 12 months.
Established in 2001, AdviserPlus is pioneering one of the next big business trends - the changing way in which professional services can be delivered reliably and cost-effectively.
Using advisers and senior consultants in a range of fields , but predominantly human resources (HR) and health and safety, the company provides professional, advisory services to over 3,800 organisations ranging from the top 100 UK companies to owner-managed businesses. Services are delivered using a patented, in-house developed, service delivery and workflow platform.
Lesley Sweeney , a director of AdviserPlus, said: “Since its formation in 2001, AdviserPlus has become firmly established as a leading provider of practical and legally reliable HR, health and safety and other professional advisory services.
“I am delighted that we have been able, with the support of NWDA, to expand into prestigious new premises at Riverside Park, which will allow AdviserPlus to accelerate its rapid growth within the region. Interest in our services remains strong and I am confident we will invest further in new staff, technology and premises in the coming months.”
The management team led by Karl Chapman previously set up Eastham-based CRT Group plc (now Spring Group) and grew it from one room in 1989 to sales of £400 million and 2,500 employees in more than 200 locations by 2000 before leaving to launch AdviserPlus.
North West Chartered Accountants Mitchell Charlesworth secured the £200,000 SFI grant (Selective Finance for Investment) from the NWDA to support the investment in new premises and create new jobs.
Grant finance specialist Greg Harris, from Mitchell Charlesworth’s Widnes office, added: “AdviserPlus were in a position where they had outgrown the previous premises and needed to find a bigger building to accommodate the business and its future growth.
“We liaised with the NWDA and advised on a grant funding package to facilitate the relocation, which will become a catalyst for further recruitment and expansion and have a major impact on the local economy.”
Legal advice was provided by Halliwells and Dixon Webb acted as surveyors on the relocation.
