John started his career in accountancy in 2001, initially working in industry before moving into practice in 2003. He completed his AAT and ACCA qualifications and became a fellow (FCCA) in 2015. John joined the firm in 2019 and has been an audit and accounts manager in our Widnes office and became a partner in 2023. John has specialist knowledge of auditing, accounting and taxation procedures and also provides cloud software support and training. He manages a varied portfolio of clients, ranging from sole traders and partnerships to small and medium sized enterprises. John has experience of advising businesses across a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, property, construction, transport and logistics, hotel and leisure and academies. Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his young family, going to the cinema and watching boxing and football
