Mitchell Charlesworth moves up the Accountancy Age Top 50+50 list
Mitchell Charlesworth has been ranked as the 69th largest accountancy firm in the UK in a top 100 league table compiled by Accountancy Age; up one place from last year.
The Top 50+50 is published each year and ranks UK accountancy firms by total UK fee income.
Managing Partner Paul Wainwright said: “I am delighted to see that the efforts of our hardworking and dedicated employees have been recognised through our positioning in the league table. This is a great achievement for the firm.
“The UK accountancy profession is changing, and the past 12 months have seen a rise in the use of technology, consolidation in the industry, the introduction of new regulation and clients’ needs becoming less about compliance and more about depending on their accountant to fulfil an important advisory role.
“With that in mind, we have geared our recruitment process towards tax advisory services which have strengthened our well-established tax offering and have trained almost 50 employees to advise clients on using cloud accounting software to benefit their businesses.
“We have also seen greater demand for support in specialist areas such as payroll, due in no small part to the increasing complexity surrounding payroll and pensions legislation, and wealth management, where the income stream has increased by more than 8%.
He continues: “As a member of Kreston International, we are able to connect with a global network of independent accounting firms to share knowledge, best practice and technical know-how and offer a global service delivery to our clients.”
“The broad range of our services and the level of expertise we have within the firm to support and advise our clients puts us in a strong position going forward.”
Mitchell Charlesworth is one of the largest independent accountancy practices in the North West with offices in Chester, Liverpool, Manchester and Widnes.
