Community sports hub and charity Sale Sports Club has selected Manchester accountancy firm Mitchell Charlesworth to provide a range of financial and business advice services.
Following a tender process, Mitchell Charlesworth was chosen to support the club with a range of specialist advice, including charity advice, accounting, payroll, tax and VAT services.
Founded in 1854, Sale Sports Club has long been an important sporting and community facility in the Trafford area.
Last month, plans to redevelop the club were unanimously approved by Trafford Council. The scheme, developed with the support of Sport England, the England & Wales Cricket Board and the Lawn Tennis Association, will see the construction of a 2-storey community clubhouse and pavilion on the site of the existing sports pavilion, together with improvements to the club’s tennis facilities. A partnership with Hales & Brown will help fund the redevelopment through the sale of surplus land for new local housing. Construction is expected to start in the Spring and be completed before the end of the year.
