Tim is a Chartered Accountant with over 40 years’ experience in public practice, advising individuals, owner-managed businesses and corporate clients on a wide range of accounting and tax matters. His work is firmly focused on tax planning in all its forms, underpinned by a comprehensive understanding of the wider accountancy, commercial and regulatory context in which clients operate. Tim is known for his practical, thoughtful approach and his willingness to think beyond conventional solutions when dealing with complex or unusual issues. He particularly enjoys engaging with new clients, taking the time to understand their objectives, and developing tailored strategies that are both technically robust and commercially effective. A significant part of Tim’s practice involves negotiating complex matters with HMRC, including enquiries, disputes and technical challenges, where his experience and measured approach help achieve constructive outcomes. He has built long-standing relationships with many clients and professional advisers who value his depth of knowledge and calm, pragmatic style. Outside of work, Tim enjoys travelling and exploring new places. He does not play golf.
