Tony is a Chartered Accountant with over 18 years’ experience in audit, accountancy, and advisory services, having qualified with the ICAEW in 2011. He joined BWM in 2012, progressing through the firm before becoming a Partner in 2022. Following the merger of BWM and Mitchell Charlesworth in 2024, Tony became part of the Mitchell Charlesworth partnership team. Tony works closely with a diverse portfolio of clients across the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, providing audit, independent examination, accountancy, and advisory services. He supports organisations of all sizes, from owner-managed commercial businesses to established charitable organisations. As an Audit Partner, Tony leads accounting, audit and assurance engagements for a wide range of organisations, helping boards, trustees and senior management teams navigate financial reporting, governance and regulatory requirements. He is committed to providing practical, commercially focused advice that helps clients meet their compliance obligations and achieve their wider objectives. Alongside his work with commercial organisations, Tony has developed a particular specialism in the charity and not-for-profit sector. He advises around 50 charities across the North West and beyond, assisting with the preparation of SORP-compliant accounts and undertaking audits and independent examinations to help trustees meet their financial reporting and governance responsibilities. Outside of work, Tony enjoys spending time outdoors, travelling and camping with his family and dog.
