Self Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS)

The Self Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) was introduced in 2020 to assist self employed individuals whose business was adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic, up to a maximum of £2,500 per month.

Since the SEISS was first introduced in June 2020, there have been various grants and extensions which we have summarised below. 

SEISS Grant 1

To make a claim for grant 1, your business must have been adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic on or before 13 July 2020. Applications for this grant closed on 13 July 2020.

SEISS Grant 2

To make a claim for grant 2, your business must have been adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic on or after 14 July 2020. Applications for this grant closed on 19 October 2020.

SEISS Grant 3

To make a claim for grant 3, your business must have been adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic between 1 November 2020 and 31 January 2021. Applications for this grant closed on 29 January 2021.

SEISS Grant 4

To make a claim for grant 4, your business must have been adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic between 1 February 2021 and 30 April 2021. Applications for this grant closed on 31 May 2021.
