Import changes

Anyone that spent any time on the motorways over the Christmas period will have noticed the signs warning of changes to imports from 1 January. 2022 sees the start of the need for full customs controls and new notification and inspection requirements for products of animal origin and certain plant products.  There will be an increase in paperwork to deal with and you may notice clearance delays and potentially increased costs if you use a third party to process your imports (due to the extra paperwork).
