Mitchell Charlesworth Climb the Accountancy Age ranks
We were thrilled to be ranked as the 61st largest accountancy firm in the UK by Accountancy Age Top 50+50 league table, jumping up 3 places from last year. The ranking reflects the hard work and commitment of our partners and staff who consistently deliver a first rate service to our clients.
Marathon runners beat record temperatures
Two plucky team members took part in April’s London Marathon to raise cash for charity. Director of Tax, Latha Rodgers, and Head of Marketing, Cara Bartlett, took part in the hottest London Marathon on record to support MIND and the Scouts Association, between them successfully raising nearly £5000. A big ‘well done’ to them both.
Mitchell Charlesworth Fundraising
2017 saw a very busy year for staff at Mitchell Charlesworth. All five of their North West offices took part in various charity days held throughout the year, raising nearly £6000! Mitchell Charlesworth extends a very special thank you to all staff for their continued support and generous donations to help raise as much money as possible for these worthy causes.
A couple of reminders…
- The new data privacy laws came into force on 25th May. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) now replaces the Data Protection Act 1998 and applies to all companies in the UK and EU that process and hold personal data. The Information Commissioner’s Office has produced various tools and resources to help charities comply with their enhanced legal obligations. More can be found here: https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/charity/
- The Workplace Pensions Reforms are now in situ, making it at legal requirement for all employers of all sizes to automatically enrol their employees into a workplace pension scheme upon commencement of employment (unless postponing). Employers who continually fail to meet their obligations are likely to face substantial fines, or in some cases, imprisonment.
If you need advice on managing your pension and payroll obligations please contact our Auto Enrolment team.
